The Carberry Sisters are putting the glamour back into tap dancing. Collectively, they have won 8 World Championships in Jazz and Tap. From the early age of two, the girls started dancing at their mother's studio, Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios, and went on to excel in all styles of dance on the world stage.
 

Upon college graduation, the girls pursued careers in the entertainment industry.  They have lived and performed in cities all over the U.S. and are featured in various films, tv shows, music videos and commercials. Karen, Kelli and Krissy now travel the world performing and choreographing together for live shows and stages.   

Karen Carberry graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, where she was Director of the BC Dance Ensemble. Upon graduation she received a full year scholarship to the Edge Performing Arts Center in Hollywood, where Karen performed works by Terry Beeman, Denise Leitner, Terry Best and Leslie Scott. 

 

Karen has worked alongside such stars as Carmen Electra, Tracey Morgan, Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway to name a few. She has performed around the world in live performances, music videos, commercials, television and movies, but her most rewarding role is that of dance teacher and choreographer. Karen's choreography has been seen at the Joyce Theater in NYC and she has choreographed for the United States Tap Team and numerous National and International Champions. ​

 

Karen is also a proud member of Dance Masters of America and received her Master's Certification in Ballet and Jazz. Karen was a member of the 2010 World Champion Tap Team from Nancy Chippendale's

Kelli Carberry is the director of the American Tap Company. She holds the title of 2010 World Tap Champion, beating out thousands of other tap dancers around the world at the World Tap Championships in Germany. Upon her win, Kelli landed a featured solo role in the World Tour of "Tap Reloaded" alongside Chloe Arnold, Jason Samuels Smith and Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards. She performed in Germany, France, Malta and various cities around the world. Kelli has also performed in as a soloist in United We Tap and Tap United. 

 

AOL featured Kelli's personal story of dedicated dance teacher and World Champion in their Boston Authentic's Ad Campaign. She was featured in a documentary and on billboards throughout Boston. Kelli's film credits include Bride Wars, Surrogates, The Town, Here Comes the Boom (Dancer & Choreographer), TED and Boyband (Choreographer). She has not only worked with talented stars but also with some of the hottest directors and producers in Hollywood. Kelli graduated in 2006 from Boston University with a B.S. in Communications.

 

Krissy Carberry teaches full time at Nancy Chippendale’s and is also a guest teacher at Broadway Dance Center in New York City. Krissy is a dancer and choreographer for the American Tap Company and Nancy Chippendale Dance Company. She's had the opportunity to perform in "Tap Reloaded 2" in Valetta, Malta and "Tap United" in Boston, MA. She graduated with honors from New York University's Gallatin School, earning a B.A. in Individualized Study with a concentration on dance, business, and mind/body studies.

 

In 2012, Krissy was crowned the Gold Medalist World Champion at the IDO World Tap Dance Championships in Riesa, Germany. Alongside her sisters, she won the Silver Medal in the Trio Division. Krissy also competed in the "Battle of the Feet." This improvisation competition included dancers from twelve different countries and lasted several rounds across three days. She won 1st Runner-Up and was featured on German National News. Krissy was also part of Nancy Chippendale's Gold Medal World Champion Jazz & Tap Teams in 2010, 2006 & 2004. 

 

While living in New York City, Krissy studied tap extensively under Lynn Schwab and "So You Think You Can Dance" choreographer, Derick K. Grant. She was a member of three professional NYC tap companies, including Xander Weinman's "Sophisticated Sounds" which performed at the Steps on Broadway Faculty Showcase, "Tap Extravaganza", and the Tap City Faculty Showcase at Symphony Space. Krissy also performed in the Steps on Broadway Faculty Showcase with Adam Metzger's "SLURP" and performed in numerous shows with Carlos Doñan's "Folktap Danza Company."​

 

Krissy's film credits include Bride Wars, featuring Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, Surrogates, featuring Bruce Willis, and several NYU film projects. More than anything, Krissy is passionate about passing her love of dance onto her students in a fun and inspiring atmosphere.
